Again, our daily walk down into town… the Napoli smog seems to be lifting day by day, so we are enjoying the slowly-clearer views! But no matter how you slice it, it’s twenty-one minutes to get down to sea-level, and that’s just the starting point to get anywhereOh brother, embarrassing story now….
So we obviously read up on stuff, especially about Sicilia, and it turns out they eat horses there. When you hear that, it’s something you don’t forget easily!! So whenever I see signs like above, featuring “Mare” in large letters, my first thought is “Horse restaurant!!”
But obviously—albeit not to me—”Mare” in Italian means “of the sea,” so all these zillions of horse places I thought I saw were simply innocent seafood places 😂🤦♂️😂
OMG maybe they serve seahorses?!?!?
