Today is our last day in the great/sucky AirBnB lol it’s great for what it is, but the location really sucks unless you want to spend all your time inside and never go out.

The next morning, we were all packed and ready, we’d arranged for a driver to pick us up at ten and take us to our final Italian hotel of the trip! We figured we’d end the trip with a bang and so Sam booked a pretty posh hotel more in the center of things (judging from the map!).
Our AirBnB is in this locked-up area, so drivers can’t exactly come up to the door. We have to leave the gated part, wander around the streets a bit, and hope to eventually meet up. But first we have to drop off the keys (and there are a lot of keys: one for the parking lot, one for the building, another to get in or out of the apartment–that’s correct, you need a key to leave, if the building burns down and you can’t locate your exit key, you’re absolutely f’ed! How Italian can ya get!!).
The owners said we could leave the keys with their father: “where is he?” “Oh he’s around!” So ten o’clock comes and goes, there’s no father, there’s no driver, in fact there is no one anywhere at all lol. So we dragged our luggage out to various conspicuous spaces and stood around looking like clueless Americans in need of a ride. Eventually the father wandered up, we met and gave him our keys (gee I hope that was the right guy!), and he said our driver was waiting just around the corner.
Around “the” corner, there was no one. Nor down the street, nor around several other corners. But we did eventually find a driver (hmmm, was that the right driver?) and he took us to our new hotel in a suitably terrifying fashion.
We arrived too early to check in, but they took our luggage and directed us up to the top floor where there was a lounge serving breakfast!

It was really nice relaxing in the posh lounge and looking out over Napoli, but eventually we started thinking about lunch.
We wound up taking the front desk’s advice for a great lunch place. We headed out the front doors, dialed it up on Google Maps, then discovered it would be the same damn hike down, FORTY MINUTES AWAY!!!
