Wacky random ramblings about wacky random trips

Transition….

Got up again too early as usual haha to have breakfast at the local square…I keep saying this, but I’m really gonna miss it!!!
Honestly I shouldda stolen one of these cups…..
This is the view across from breakfast
Here’s the good pic lol, café at the right, monument on the left

Sniff, we are all going our separate ways today… Sam and I are not happy about that whatsoever, but hey it’s been a fantastic week together, and all good things must come to an end? Yikes, I just wasn’t expecting it to end so soon! But we are lucky to have experienced all this together! And at least we are appreciating our last moments together. Not saying I wouldn’t have minded a bit more sleep tho lol 😀

So off we go, like three blocks back to the AirBnB to collect Matt and all our stuff… then we leave! Yuck!

Hah I had to post this: our “luggage elevator” lol apparently no one trusts the actual lift here, but at least there’s a raw electric motor to ferry our bags up if we need 😀

We are leaving on a Monday.. obviously all Italian restaurants are closed on Mondays!! But thankfully there’s an international law stating that all Indian restaurants must be open 24/7/365. And so, somehow, Robert found one for us lol

Honestly, it looks pretty legit!!
Luckily we can all actually see the Catania train station from lunch, so Sam can remain calm, more or less 😀

Oooooof but now we reach the sad part of our story: the parting of the ways 😢 Sam and I are off to Messina by train, but the boys are off to the Catania airport back to Vienna and further adventures of their own…

Our last sight of them, heading down the street together; luckily our view is from the back so that we can’t see all their tears from leaving their parents behind 😂
This is the Indian restaurant as seen from the train station… I would totally do this again!
So here we are again in the annoyingly-straightforward Catania train station, but sadly without the boys this time….

Dang I hate the good-byes, even in retrospect!
