Wacky random ramblings about wacky random trips

Third and Final Day in Sendai

Sendai has been a bit of a surprise, the city is very comfortable, the meals have been freaking amazing! Not sure what I was expecting but this has been one of my favorite places on the whole trip. So naturally, we are leaving it for a day trip today lol

It’s back to the train station!
The Japanese countryside is always so lush!
We arrived in the small town, this all looks pretty straight-forward
But in real life, it’s a bit more challenging… circled is one of the monk places we actually found
Luckily we are just in time for lunch, which we had at this noodle place
Lunch began with this stuff!
This is the outside, you can see my reflection in the front window lol
Sadly we did not see (nor get attacked by) any monkeys…
Some shrine with incense going
Jolly fat monk dude!
We saw a bunch of these exotic-looking dragonflies
Oh boy, the steps begin….
If you look closely, especially near the top, you can see a giant scary red warrior hiding in there
Looking down on some monk buildings
Just a few more stairs….
Maybe this is Elon Musk’s house?
And of course, ‘way the hell up here, there is a fully-packed vending machine haha
A rare pic of me!
There’s the small town stretched out below us
It is just so scenic up here!

So we got back into Sendai and picked a random dinner restaurant on the ninth floor of some building…. the first two dinners here have been amazingly choreographed and sublime, so we just winged it for this last one

Our dinner place was the top floor (I think)
Tongue again lol I just can’t seem to order a good one
Shot of the train station on the way home

So dinner was kind of meh but it was still fun! Hard to believe we have just had our final meal in Sendai… how does the time fly by so quickly? Sushi, earthquakes, steak, city Loople Bus, all those morning coffees, the sumo on TV every night, all over? Really gonna miss this place… but tomorrow will be totally fun: back on the bullet train to Tokyo, then continuing on to Kobe!!!
