Wacky random ramblings about wacky random trips

Takayama to Tokyo

As written in my journal, this is an exact quote from Robert: “We haven’t eaten anything too weird”

Takayama hotel manga library
And here is the hotel library, thousands of volumes of the latest manga series lol
Fight fight fight at the train station counter!
The battle of the train ticket machines enters its final round! We both bought JR-Line passes, so we can in theory go anywhere at any time, but it’s not quite as simple as that. Bahahahaha oh no, not quite so simple as all that

Rice people, nice people!

And then…. and then, and then and then and then 😀 Checks notes: “we entered our final accommodation of the trip: a six-foot by ten-foot traditional ryocan, with shared bathrooms and everything.”

McDonalds in Tokyo!!!
I’m lovin it!!

Heading out to dinner, we went to Akiharbara and found a sushi-like place on—where else?—the fourth floor haha but it was kind of weird, to summon the waiter there was a mysterious clicker device at the table that kinda/sorta/maybe worked?

Toyko reataurant clicker device
When you click it it, does anything happen?
Walking home, a good view of that giant Tokyo tower thingie
