As written in my journal, this is an exact quote from Robert: “We haven’t eaten anything too weird”
This is the big rack of pajamas & slippers & such at the Takayama hotel, feel free to use anything you likeAnd here is the hotel library, thousands of volumes of the latest manga series lolThe battle of the train ticket machines enters its final round! We both bought JR-Line passes, so we can in theory go anywhere at any time, but it’s not quite as simple as that. Bahahahaha oh no, not quite so simple as all thatWell sure this seems simple enoughBack in Nagoya, we had all kinds of options for lunchThe eel place won outAt least there were helpful hints this time!!!I’m a fan of this motto!!Downstairs in NagoyaMade it finally back to TokyoTokyo Station is honestly pretty cool
And then…. and then, and then and then and then 😀 Checks notes: “we entered our final accommodation of the trip: a six-foot by ten-foot traditional ryocan, with shared bathrooms and everything.”
ScreenshotRobert has arms, but not unusually long ones….I’m lovin it!!
Heading out to dinner, we went to Akiharbara and found a sushi-like place on—where else?—the fourth floor haha but it was kind of weird, to summon the waiter there was a mysterious clicker device at the table that kinda/sorta/maybe worked?
When you click it it, does anything happen? We did manage to acquire some beer eventuallyHate to whine but this was one of the least exciting meals of the trip… it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good. Odd for a fourth-floor restaurant!Walking home, a good view of that giant Tokyo tower thingie
