(notes from March 2025)

But unfortunately, Sam developed food poisoning or something and had an incredibly epic barfing episode here which I have neglected to document 😀 Anyway, she has been a nonstop upchucking marvel ever since!! She’s gone about 36 hours without eating much of anything, but she’s somehow still not empty lol

But with jaws firmly clamped, she’s back at her desk in our flat, doing her thing… she scarcely slept last night so she spent a lot of time at her computer instead.

This morning, I took off to try and find some more bottled water or Sprite or anything that might help…

Apparently it worked, Sam has declared we are now on the P.B. side of the trip: Post Barf

Ironically, they turned out to be BARF!! 😂😂

It was sort of typical… the guy asks which bread we want, Sam chooses, then he says no, this other is much better. Then, do we want them warm or cold? Sam says cold, but no, warm is much better with this sort of bread, the bread we didn’t even ask for…

We wanted a couple different salami cuts, with a couple different cheeses, but at the end we had what we got; it’s slowly dawning on us that Italians aren’t very good at sandwiches lol but Sam saved them with a few slices of raw onion. In any case, she kept them down!

Dinner worked, Sam seems pretty much back to health… back thru the rain to our flat, where Sam had to get back online and put out fires… it’s bedtime for us but only mid-afternoon for her team back home

I fell asleep during her last zoom call, and woke up the next morning to find her already back at her desk… safe to say Sam, like the Pack, is Back!!

And so we eventually went out for a real lunch, tried a new place which turned out to be fantastic
