Many moons ago I painted this exact scene in the Place Dauphine, but the boys were little and groveling in the dirt and Sam was rockin the henna hair, and since then the French had dug the whole place up to replace it with a car park 😢 They re-installed the lovely park, but now all the trees are moved and different-looking…
