Todi is an ancient tiny hilltop town in the center of Italy, perhaps 2500 years old. It’s in the county of Umbria, apparently one of the only land-locked counties in the entire country lol
This is literally the entire thing! I think there are like 3000 residents, but it’s very much a tourist destination due to its history, location, and beauty.There’s where our flat is, just a couple blocks from the highest point of the city (which is occupied by a cathedral from the 13th century)
So why choose Todi? Well, it was slightly at random… many years earlier, we had rented a villa in the countryside outside of Todi, so the name registered. We liked the central location, and honestly the size: last time we tried the whole “work from abroad” thing, the big city just didn’t work out: no easy grocery stores, took hours to get anywhere, etc. In a place like Todi, the whole place is walkable! And so so scenic.
