Sorry my last post was so lengthy, I don’t expect anyone to read it all—hurray, no quiz!!—but I had fun writing it lol and anyway I wanted to remember everything in all its gruesome detail 😀
Here’s us in the grand scheme of things, a lot closer to Africa than to EuropeInside the hotel we were so desperate to get into last nightComplimentary breakfast buffet was great!! lol note Al Jazeera on the TV in Arabic The breakfast room is down in the cellars of this ancient placeView outside our windowAnd our room had a very cool tiled floorThis is a very typical Valletta street, always going steeply up or downGotta love the naval history here, makes me want to gaze…This is the Saluting Battery! There is a big sailing race here today and they began it by firing off a cannon, it was incredibly cool, if ear-splittingThis is the view more out to sea–that far pier is St Elmo’s something or other lolIn the modern era, it’s more the Battle of Gigantic Cruise ShipsOh yeah, the Romans were here too, probably with all their luggage as wellThis place was barely noticeable from the outside, but magnificent on the inside!!!Wow this one is a beauty!! Not 100% positive (my notes are sketchy) but we think this is St John’s Co-CathedralThis was not in the cathedral gift shop, strangelyThere is a strong British vibe hereDunno if you can make this out but it’s a mirror, and written on it is “You look like you need a beer” 😂More of the enjoyable British beer culture lolOur first view of St Paul’s cathedralThis is one of the largest cathedrals in Malta, looks obviously rebuilt….Holy crap, look at this place after WWII!!!!I really liked this, you the viewer should take the time to read itPeople are lining up to get good spots to watch the famous Rolex sea race

Finally made it down to sea level! We’re looking for a nice friendly cafe but no luck anywhere down hereSo we head back up, gotta be a cafe around here somewhere!Later, a taxi blasts us through here at high speedScreenshotAnd the Rolex Sea Race is off!!!
