The good news is that Matt finally got here! The bad news is that jet-lag’s a bitch, we’re completely over it but Matt’s first day or two are gonna be roughWe started off in style with an early lunch, these are the famous grape-leaf wrapped whatevers, these were the first of the trip and were great!Wine was great!Hell, everything was great!!They decanted our wine and everythingMatt on the left, totally blending in like a localThis is where you check into the hotel haha I love the vibe!!And here is our insane elevator: soooooooo European, the bizarre teensy elevator that fits like one person at a time max, and of course you have to open the door manuallyMe doing a mirror selfie 😀I’m diggin the vibe at our new hotel!But the shower looks a little ominousOh brother… why are toilets always so complicated?!?Our room is tiny and I love it—we’re back in old-school Europe again, rooms are supposed to be this way here!Gotta love “do it yourself” artworkTime for afternoon beers to help Matt stay awakeThere’s one of the ubiquitous yellow cabs on the leftSam showing the dimensions of the elevator—hah this would have been our entire room in a Japanese ryokan 😀Check out our retro phone!
