Wacky random ramblings about wacky random trips

We Visited the Todi Duomo

Sheesh even the car parks here are scenic! Just to be clear, that building is NOT the Duomo lol
Lunch was had again in the crazy Pane & Vino
They really mean it 😀
Bizarre raw artichoke salad yet again
I had a little bit of everything pretty much
Sam has been into soups lately
Waitress in scary Attack Mode

Then it was back to the flat for our work day. As luck would have it, the stock markets are melting down at the moment so I’m sort of in a “batten down the hatches” mode.

Travel trading set-up

And speaking of luck… I completely tested out all my equipment in Rome, everything was all well and good—but when I fired everything up in Todi for the first time, my charting app randomly tried to update itself and ended up bricking itself; my trading app DAS updated itself too against my will and now has a weird new interface, and so my comfortable trading environment from home has been pretty much trashed! Welcome to life on the road lol.

Saw this ancient fountain for the first time
And went to this restaurant for the first time! I love the description, “Italian Cuisine,”…. ya think???? You can see our street, Via San Fortunato, slightly to the right near to the bottom
I am getting the menu from a QR code as usual
Sam looking content, if still a bit chilly
I am still wearing three layers indoors 😀
Checking out downstairs at the restaurant
I’ll bet their patio is lovely in warmer weather

This restaurant was so great, yet somehow we forgot all about it and didn’t remember to go back for three weeks! !Doh!

Taking the scenic streets back home
Every view is worth a picture here
This is the God who protects the sacred car park!
These huge busses always crack me up when I see them ramming themselves down these tiny medieval streets at high speed
On the left is the Todi Duomo, kind of a spartan structure but with a ton of history behind it. Its official name is Concattedrale della Santissima Annunziata. It is situated at the far end of the Piazza del Popolo, which is like the main square of the town.
The oldest parts date from Roman times but most of this is from the fifteenth century to the nineteenth century, kinda randomly
The modern-day church has a lot of new rules: women can’t wear tops, no Androids, no McD’s, no exploding cameras, no bad breath, no meat
I just love that skull in the middle!!!!!! Zoom in, it’s really pretty cool
Dang that organ puts even mine to shame
This place is HUGE!! And what made it feel even more so was the fact that I was the only one here… it was literally empty, the only sounds were my occasional footfalls reverberating loudly into this silent void.
If you pay a couple euros, you can explore the crypts…
… replete with dead dudes and everything!
I seek the Holy Grail!!!
Now we know where Wormtail’s metallic hand ended up!’
Finally, a monument to Bobby Portis!!
Back up from the crypts, complete silence still reigns in this historic space
Here’s the Piazza del Polopo as seen from the stairs of the Cathedral
Nice shot of the place at night
